Numerous historical towns and cities take pride in hosting magnificient castles, beautiful churches, art galleries and museums, while caves, picturesque mountains and tranquil lakes are the major assets of Slovakia`s natural heritage. Slovakia is also proud of its spas, which enjoy the reputation of being excellent indulgence resorts and are generally appreciated for their widely recognised medical benefits.
Responsibility for promoting tourism in Slovakia is in the hands of the Section of Tourism of the Ministry of Economy of SR and the Slovak Tourist Board (SACR).
